About the story of Dockland Builder

How we get started

In the early days of Dockland Builder, Daeniel and Ken faced numerous challenges with limited funds, working from a small shop serving as both office and warehouse. They managed all tasks themselves, gradually growing the company through their honesty and professional service, which earned client trust and a growing reputation. Eventually, they moved to a new office in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.

Reflecting on their journey, Daeniel and Ken are grateful for their partnership and mutual support, which helped them through tough times. They aim to make Dockland Builder a renowned interior design and renovation company locally and globally by maintaining a high-quality service team and pursuing excellence.

Despite facing market competition and recruitment challenges, these obstacles have strengthened their resolve. They believe that with persistence and dedication, they will achieve their vision.

Daeniel

Director

Daeniel initially pursued automotive technology but realized it wasn’t his true calling. After a period of feeling lost in unrelated jobs, he took over his father’s renovation business. Despite financial difficulties leading to its closure, he restarted the business with a partner, rehiring former employees. Two years later, due to vision differences, he left to found Dockland Builder in 2014. Running the business solo, he faced many challenges but remained committed to his dreams.

Ken

Director

Ken, two years older than Daeniel and from Kuala Lumpur, had to leave his studies due to financial constraints and gained extensive experience in various construction and renovation companies. He frequently collaborated with Daeniel, becoming well acquainted. When Dockland Builder faced financial difficulties and Ken’s career hit a bottleneck, Daeniel proposed they co-manage the company. After sharing their challenges and ideas, they decided to join forces. In 2017, Ken joined Dockland Builder, starting a new entrepreneurial journey with Daeniel.
